🎄 AWC American Christmas Market Oslo🎄

(Hosted by the American Women’s Club)

This past week-end I volunteered my time for the  AWC American Christmas Market Oslo in order to take photos of families with Santa.  It was so much fun and we saw it all.  Kids fascinated in seeing and meeting Santa, kids walking in excited at the thought and then terrified by the big man and his fuzzy white hair and beard.  Then there were those that just weren’t having it.  There was no interest in meeting the big happy man with his clanging bell and ho ho ho’s.

Again I would like to thank everyone for their support at the AWC Christmas Market.  All proceeds from the photographs go to benefit the Oslo Crisis Center and the AWC Scholarship Fund.  Santa and I look forward to seeing you next year at this great event.

Congratulations 🎅🎄📸

The winner of the free photo session is Lauren Maat. Lauren, congratulations!

🎟 New this year – Raffle Prizes 🎟

It was so much fun to see the excitement behind the raffle prizes.  Everyone bought their tickets in anticipation for that gift that caught their eye.  Among the gorgeous gift baskets, there was a gift certificate (value kr 1400) to AdventureRooms Oslo for 4 people to play any of these games: Original Swiss, Black Queen & Piano as well as a gift certificate (value kr 900) to The Well for entrance to 2 people.

All proceeds from raffle ticket sales go to the American Women’s Club of Oslo scholarship fund. Info about the AWC Scholarship can be found here: AWC Scholarship.

There were many vendors with gorgeous products available.  The focus being on handmade.  Next year you’ll have the opportunity to find many wonderful Christmas goodies and treats.

Creating is what gets her through the long, dark winters in Norway. Julia enjoys letting her love for colour, texture and design come to life in all her products, be it in up-cycled sweater mittens, tote bags, knitted wrist warmers or anything crocheted. Julia is drawn to new challenges, which explains her wide range of products. This year Julia will again have Christmas stockings in fun and colourful designer fabrics. Each is unique and embellished with contrast fabrics, ribbons, lace and other types of trim. Julia is looking forward to two great days at the Christmas Market!

Come and see the wonderful array of handmade products Julia from Happy Me Redesign has to offer at the AWC American Christmas Market this coming weekend.

Wild Fire Foods is the lovechild of American Chef Jeff and Norwegian Janniche. He got some recipes for bbq and chili sauces from his grandmother, the chef of Joe Lewis the “Brown Bomber”. As tomatoes and chilies were the local foods of his Native American family, we also try to use as much local produce as possible when we handmake the products here in Norway and thus carry on his proud cultural heritage.

The design is inspired by the Native American food-giving tradition Potluck, where only the best food was given. We want to honor this tradition by making the products with the best and purest ingredients available. We offer bbq sauces, chilisauces, woksauces and spice blends. They are all gluten free, free from fillers and mods. The spice blends are without sugar and with very little salt. Taste is first, and we can’t wait to let you taste them!
